Obama Has "A Fruitcake Interpretation of the Bible"

"I think he's deliberately distorting the traditional understanding of the Bible to fit his own worldview, his own confused theology," Dobson said. Added Minnery: "... He is dragging biblical understanding through the gutter."

Obama is definitely taking Old Testament laws out of context and then he suggests that we're the ones that aren't reading our Bibles? He's the one that needs to read the Bible! When are people going to see through this man? Obama is twisting scriptures from the Bible for HIS OWN GAIN!

This is one of the most tired arguments that I've heard regarding the Bible and morality. I don't know how many atheists/etc. like to harvest the dietary restrictions and compare it to "what Jesus said."

They conveniently forget that the dietary guidelines were for a specific country that God created, and that Jesus said that He came not to destroy the law, but to fulfill it.

I don't know who's giving Obama advice on religion, but if he thinks he'll attract "values voters" this way, I believe he will be mistaken.
